Holly Curtis, M.Ed., is an inspiring Nia Technique instructor and trainer. She began teaching Nia in 1993, following 11 years of traditional fitness instruction and training. Her experience in the fitness area, beginning in 1982, guarantees her ability to deliver a workout, as well as a meaningful dance experience in her Nia classes. Her college education in kinesiology and health promotion provides a strong scientific and theoretical base to all of her teaching. Prior to beginning her career in fitness, Holly studied dance at the University of Texas for two years.

Holly was the first Nia instructor in Austin, Texas, launching Nia through the Sports and Recreation department of the University of Texas. She pursued her Nia belt levels and continued to add classes until she opened her studio, NiaSpace, in 1996. Holly became a Nia instructor trainer in 1998 and has trained over 300 Nia White belts around the U.S., including in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Arkansas, Washington, and California. Holly is committed to help Nia grow by training teachers and is happy to offer the training in any area where it is desired.

Holly's experience as a successful studio owner makes her aware of the business challenges and opportunities that Nia offers. Her practical approach to marketing and business systems can make the difference between financial success and failure with a Nia based business, whether it's as an independent contractor, studio owner, or employee. Her experience and expertise are key components to the instructor training and support she offers.

Holly relocated to Santa Fe, New Mexico in May 2002. Nia development continues to be Holly's focus through intensive trainings, teacher development, personal coaching, workshops and classes.
